A bank robbery took place in Chisinau, Botanica sector

 The branch of a commercial bank in Chisinau, Botanica sector, was robbed on Saturday, October 24, by a masked person.

Simion Hadirca, Botanica sector prosecutor, told for BASA-press that the incident took place on October 24 at around 13:00. A masked person entered the bank, located on the boulevard Traian, and threatening the bank employee he took over 227 thousand lei and disappeared in an unknown direction.

According to the same source, the bank employee immediately alerted the police who made the portrait of the offender and began the investigation.

A criminal case was initiated for robbery in especially high proportions. “Currently there are several suspects but to date, no person is arrested”, Hadirca said.
